BLUE CUT CUBE

2014

This is one of the most work-intensive pieces I have ever produced, having taken nearly a year from start to finish.  Both pieces form one solid cube (when displayed together) approximately ten inches on a side.  The castings spent about two months in the kiln, and a month with me in the polishing process -- both processes taking more time and effort than any other work I have created to date.


I love the contrast between the geometric exterior form, and the more fluid, organic interior surfaces.  I hope you do too.   The Magazine “Art and Antiques did too, as they used it for their April 2014 cover (see below, and web reference:
